Verizon Cuts Prices on EV-DO Data Service

Brighthand has the scoop that Verizon is lowering its prices for high-speed EV-DO internet access by $20 to $59.99 for unlimited usage. This a boon for Palm OS and Windows Mobile smartphone users who want to stay on Verizon's network without losing an arm and a leg price wise as Sprint is so much cheaper.

Unlimited use of NationalAccess is now $59.99 for monthly access, a reduction of $20 a month. In addition, starting May 23, those purchasing a handheld or smartphone from Verizon will have a choice of data plans that include 10 MB for $29.99 or unlimited data service for $49.99. Customers adding data plans to any voice service plan of $39.99 or higher will receive a $5.00 a month discount on their chosen data plan.
