AOL IM Email 2 Gigabytes

AOL announced it will offer free email accounts for users of its instant messenging service with storage space of 2 gigabytes, the most of any major free email service. Each AIM user with get a @aim.com email address. I don't know if I'm too wild about this, since it's obvious we'll be bombarded with annoying AOL ads. I'll stick with Google's gmail text ads, thank you.

America Online plans to begin offering free e-mail accounts today to about 20 million users of its popular AIM instant messaging service as part of a bid to build a bigger audience and then profit by selling more advertising.
