Electronic Arts CEO at UBS Conference

Electronic Arts CEO, Larry Probst, spoke today at UBS Annual Media conference. I took some interesting notes from his presentation:

-Will launch 3-4 cell-phone games in next few months
-Had 27 one million unit sellers last fiscal year. Expect to have more this year
-EA Sports games tracking to 60% unit share and 80% revenue share vs. Take-Two/ESPN
-Sims 2 doing “extremely well” and has already sold 4 million units globally
-Some disappointments are PS2 hardware shortage, Sims Urbz, Goldeneye, and MOH: Pacific Assualt
-NFS Underground 2 doing great, up 70% vs. last year and already sold 1 million units
-Simply have to get better managing game development as today’s business model of crunch time and killer hours is not sustainable
-Will try to create new online revenue opportunities with Playstation 3
-Will launch next year sports games at $39.95 or $29.95
