I'm thinking of getting a Mini Cooper, although I'm a bit hesitant due to its horrible reliability ratings.

How come all the great fun loving cars have mechanical problems?

Whenever I see one of those new Mini's out on the streets...I always wonder how people fit in them. My friend owns one and she drives it around pretty fast...kinda scary since the car is so small. Seems to offer very little protection from say...anything solid when you hit it lol.

I read in the New Yorker that Mini's actually very safe because they don't roll over like SUVs, have great safety features, and since they are so small and maneuverable, they "avoid" accidents.

Of course, if a Mini does get into an accident, it's GAME OVER. :)
