I'm sure I had some more, but this is what I remember today.

STB PCI something I forget -> Rendition Verite (yes my name came from a graphics card -> 3dfx Voodoo 1 Canopus -> Nvidia GeForce 2MX -> ATI Radeon 8500LE -> ATI Radeon 9700

I think I need to upgrade soon.

It's amazing how iD games really drove the upgrade cycle.

I remember playing DOOM 1 and DOOM 2 on the STB PCI card.

I remember playing Quake on the Rendition card. It was ok. But when I first loaded up Quake 1/Quake 2 on the 3dfx Voodoo 1, it sure made me smile. SO purty.

Quake 3 Arena was ok on the Geforce 2 MX and 8500.

And DOOM 3 was alright on the 9700.

some ancient hercules video card (cga, ega, vga?) can't remember. It's ISA and I think I still have it.
tseng et6000 (wow what a fantastic 2d card and vesa support)
s3 trio 64 (everybody had one at one time)
voodoo 1 (several of these, orchid? $300 for quakegl and tomb raider? SOLD)
voodoo 2 (diamond monsther 3d, had 2 of these, but not sli. got 2nd one much later)
voodoo banshee
voodoo 3
nvidia tnt2
geforce 2 gts (had two of these)
geforce 3 ti200
geforce 4 ti4200 (great card for $100. those were the days when $100 actually got you good performance)
ati radeon 9700 pro
ati x800xl PCIE

cards on servers and secondary machines:
ati 9200se 128mb
ati 9600np (htpc - no fan)
geforce 2 mx400
geforce 2 gts-v (cheaper slightly lower clocked version)

laptop:
ATI Rage Mobility 128 M3 (16MB) (m3) hey it ran the original counter strike fine
ATI Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo 128mb (m10) (runs everything fine if I keep the resolution down)

Arogan just reminded me that I had an nvidia TNT2 as well, I think it came between the Beast and the Geforce 2MX. But we were running 2 machines at the time, so I can't be sure.

That's quite some list BTW Arogan!

Yeah I think arogan wins the most graphics card bought award, unless there is someone else out there who is better (or worse). :)

Add MSI 6200 Nvida card and impending GPU for my new Conroe build to the list. Arogan you are in my sights. Someday I will surpass your videocard-dom!
