- It's a usb key drive, it's a card reader, it's two two two great devices in one.
- It seemed kind of silly to buy high capacity usb key drivers (512mb and up) and then not be able to use that memory in other devices like mp3 players or cameras. Today I'm reviewing two products that fill this gap. They are almost as small as a usb key drive but you get to add your own removable memory.

IOGear (around $10 shipped depending on how many you buy)
http://www.buy.com/retail/product.asp?sku=10404064&loc=101&hdwt=0&sp=1
- usb 2.0 speeds
- SD memory ONLY (tested with 512mb and 1gb)
- great size. It's just a little bit wider than the cruzer.
- gets a little warm while in use
- cap fits pretty well
- sd card fits nice and snug and is easy to remove.

Lexar Trio ($9 shipped)
http://www.surpluscomputers.com/store/main.aspx?p=ItemDetail&item=DRV10784
- usb 2.0 speeds
- supports SD, MS, MS DUO (WITH NO ADAPTER. great for psp users). Tested with 1gb SD and 1gb MS DUO
- gets a little warm while in use
- a bit bulky
- cap comes off easily
- sd cards fit is pretty lose. It fees like if you shake it, it would slide out of the slot.
- MS duo a bit hard to remove. You have to wiggle it side to side to get it out.

- both work great, no drivers needed, led activity indicator, pretty much just like a usb key drive.
- both are priced right
- the iogear is really built nicely and it's a very nice size
- the lexar is pretty bulky but great for PSP users.

I give the nod to the iogear unless you have the need for ms duo support.
