Star Wars Episode III

Ok, who's seen it so far? I went and saw it this afternoon, and I loved it!!! lot's of action, lots of cool lightsaber battles, and it pretty much tied everything together and completed the story. I'd say it's the best of the new movies and would probably rank pretty high for all 6 movies, at least for me!!!

It's not likely I'll see it anytime soon due to the baby. The bit torrent is very tempting, but I'm trying to stay away from the dark side.

Besides who wants to watch a movie with a huge time tracker taking up a big chunk of the screen.

Well, it definitely creams Episode 1 and 2. It's hard to compare to 4-6 due to childhood nostalgia, if I were to watch 4-6 new these days I'd probably have a different opinion. So I won't go so far as to say it's better than anything in 4-6, but if you bothered seeing 1 and 2, you obviously have to see 3 (and would have anyhow)

But Episode 3 certainly had its Lucas weaknesses -- some bad dialog at parts, and Anakin's fall being completely unbelievable (in my view)... just forced because we all know it HAS to happen. (A trap of doing prequels when you have poor writing skills -- hmm sounds like the Dune prequels! (ARG))

Lots of good action, I thought there'd be more from all of the reviews I was reading, but it was still fun. I do like jedi, light sabers and force powers. It's the only reason I trudged through KOTOR 2 :) And Yoda fighting actually came off convincing this time, as he looked rather stupid and undisciplined at the end of #2.

ok, i admit that part was kinda lame...but the dude with the 4 lightsabers was freaking awesome!!!

He is cool but he was cooler in the Clone Wars series, at least the end of it. He's too much of a sick coward in the movie, but in Clone Wars when he was first introduced he came across as somewhat scary and ass-whoopin... had the Jedi all kinds of scared and was kicking their butts. The Grevious in the movie was a wimp in comparison. I don't get it (maybe he was getting sicker... I dunno). Then again, maybe that speaks volumes about Kenobi.

I think there may have been a second season of Clone Wars that I never saw...? Maybe it connects better. Grevious is only at the very end of the first season, at least. I was looking forward to him doing more in the movie, so that's probably why I sound a little disappointed.

Actually, EVERYONE was cooler in Clone Wars. There was a whole episode dedicated to Mace Windu tearing stuff up that I was rather fond of. I think it's easier to draw a cool Jedi than it is to make it work in a movie :D I don't think they use force powers nearly enough in the movies, because it takes more work to do... but Episode 3 used them more than I remember, which is nice to see.

Maybe Lucas will bring out Episode 3.1 to fix the "bugs". :)

Maybe the woman that adopted Leia dies when Leia is "very young" and that Leia thinks that this woman is her REAL mother! And that she is refering to her when she says "I remember her a little". That would be a quick bug fix..

As for the Kenobi forgetting the birth of Leia and Luke, a quick bug fix would be that Kenobi becomes a crack head later on... ;) Or get hits really hard on his head by the Sand People on Tatotine... :)

Finally did anyone notice the INCEST in Star Wars Ep 4 and 5??? Leia gives her own brother Luke a nice make out!!! No one mentions this!
