Hello,
I just bought two 2405FPW units and I'm very happy with them. Great display and not one dead pixel on either monitor!
Although i probably know the answer to the following question, i just want to make sure.
When i view a composite or component signal connected directly to the units from a TV or DVD player, the units do not display the aspect ratio correctly. In both 4:3 and 16:9, the image is elongated vertically by about 10%. It does not matter what settings are selected on the unit. I suspect that the great price of $1019.00 i paided does not include some circuits like a scaler and that Dell assumes that the unit will be used with a computer graphics card that has all the electronics, to display things correctly, that are missing from the unit.
Am i right?
