Outpost.com has the Western Digital 80GB Dual Option Backup External Hard Drive (WDXUB800BBRNN) for $90, with two rebates. Yeah, I know Outpost is owned by Fry's, and I've read some pretty bad reviews of this drive, but $40 is a good deal.

I went to COMPUSA, tried to get the price match. They refused because Walmart isn't a direct competitor, but they agreed to give me the employee discount.

So instead of $20 after rebate, I got the 160GB HD for $30. Then I bought this:

So basically the big thing you gain with the newer mini models is the nvidia 9400m graphics right?

It's like a $200 difference right now.

I just picked one up at a local Microcenter 1 hour away. We're going to sell our mac laptop since we have the Acer netbook now and with this Mini, we should be able to save a lot of money.

Yes the only difference is the Nvidia vs. Intel graphics and I think a firewire/USB port or two. I actually LIKE the fact it uses the intel graphics because Nvidia has been having so many issues on Mac lately due to heat/artifacting, etc. (I think this is due to the super tiny slim form factors of Macs) Plus we don't play games on Macs anyway.

I bet that if you do pick up the Mini within ONE year you will buy a Mac Pro and it will be your daily driver ex-PC gaming. :) That's what happened to me. I bought a cheap Mac Mini Power PC version few years back just to try it out and that was the end of Windows PC computing ex-gaming.
