I have an ATI x8000 pro, and the 2001FP. great monitor BTW. only one bad pixel and it's all the down on the bottom where it don't make any difference to me.
So anyway,
1. That x800 pro has a DVI connector and it is DVI-I the 2001fp is DVD-D. do you have to have dvi-i to dvi-i (which is my first thought) or are there just some limitations with one or the other. in other words why do they have dvi-i and dvi-d and it seems weird that ATI would choose DVI-I when most monitors i see are DVI-D
2. bottom line is, can i connect the x800 pro dvi-i connector to the 2001pf dvi-d port? without out blowing up my monitor.
3. the disk i got from dell seems only have the driver for the analog port on it. comes up in dvice manager as dell 2001fp (analog) where can i get the digital driver (looked, but not to hard at dell, i'll admit it)
thanks in advance
