Sci-Fi Channel has ordered a second season of Battlestar Galactica. The first season has 13 episdoes, of which 5 have been aired. The last episode had 3.2 million viewers trouncing Star Trek Enterprise, which has been canceled. Who needs Star Trek? Battlestar Galactica is the best show on television. I'm ecstatic it is getting traction. The show airs on Sci-Fi on Fridays at 10pm.

For the show's second season, creator and executive producer Ronald D. Moore previously told SCI FI Wire that he has already been working on as many as six new scripts to resolve the multiple cliffhangers that will end season one. Moore added that he wants to delve deeper into the show's religious themes and open up the Cylon world a bit more in the coming season.

That is good news. I've actually been watching the airing that was on UK TV... but I think I've only watched the first 4 episodes. It is a great show so far though, yah.

I don't understand why everyone has it in for Enterprise in general, though. It's gotten pretty good this season and every Trek show started like crap anyhow. But the insulting thing is Voyager was allowed its full run and it just NEVER had any redeeming qualities ;)

It also makes me ask, where's the love for Firefly? Hopefully the movie helps get the series back.

Anyhow. Great news that at least one good show is actually getting recognized. We definitely need more new scifi shows being produced -- of all different types -- and less reality tv :)

I love the political commentary inherent in the episodes. From the Chamberlin disaster in the beginning to the friction between the military and the president to 9/11 - Caprica holocaust to the latest episode on independent cousnels gone wild, this all is great stuff.

My only complaint is having to wait 7 days to see each episode.

For some reason they seem to accent her thighs. Big thighs indeed.

This show keeps getting better and better. The drama, suspense, and the writing is fantastic. Each episode is totally different. It can have elements of Law and Order, Star Trek, Star Wars, West Wing, and soap operas.

I hope they don't run out of ideas anytime soon.

Just finished watching episode 13. *gasp* Again. *gasp*

This show was ASKING for a season 2. There is absolutely no closure ;) I'd have been pissed if no one was picking up a season 2 on this one.

Season 2
14. 2-1 15-Jul-2005 Season Premiere

We don't have THAT much longer to wait in the scheme of things. Got the time filled with other shows like Doctor Who and Charlie Jade... but still, that date should say 21-May-2005 ;)

Season 2 is even better than season 1. The last few episodes have been awesome. Cyclons using human mommy farms, scary. And the DOOM like Alien's episode was cool too.

The problem with this show is everytime I see an episode I'M DYING to see the next one. ARGH.

Maybe I should just wait and record the whole season and then see it at once.

In the first season I thought Starbuck was a flat character with poor acting. But now she's growing on me and her quirky fun personality is shining through.

The Pegasus cliff-hanger episode has me hopping mad. I can't believe I have to wait until freaking January to see what happens next.

The show season premiere was awesome again, with ANOTHER cliffhanger hook at the end.

They know how to make awesome television.

Man that season finale episode was absolutely insane. I hope they haven't gutted the series as Ron Moore could go in any number of directions in October.

Even though I read the spoilers I am still in shock.

Anyone else on here watch this show. I still think it's the best show on TV, the best show I've been passionate about (watch EVERY SINGLE EPISODE) in decades. It is really that good.

October is TOO far away. I wish they spaced out their season better, so I wouldn't suffer from BSG drought! :)
