Something for those of you that are following the Yankees/Red Sox series:

On a tour of Florida, the Pope took a couple of days off to visit the coast for some sightseeing. He was cruising along the beach in the Pope mobile when there was a frantic commotion just off shore. A helpless man, wearing a New York Yankee's jersey, was struggling frantically to free himself from the jaws of a 25-foot shark.

As the Pope watched, horrified, a speed boat came racing up with three men wearing Boston Red Sox jerseys aboard. One quickly fired a harpoon into the shark's side. The other two reached out and pulled the bleeding, semi-conscious Yankee fan from the water. Then using baseball bats, the three heroes in red beat the shark to death and hauled it into the boat also.

Immediately the Pope shouted and summoned them to the beach. "I give you my blessing for your brave actions," he told them. "I heard that there was some bitter hatred between Red Sox and Yankee fans, but now I have seen with my own eyes that this is not the truth."

As the Pope drove off, the harpooner asked his buddies "Who was that?"

"It was the Pope," one replied. "He is in direct contact with God and has access to all of God's wisdom."

"Well," the harpooner said, "he may have access to God's wisdom, but he doesn't know shit about shark fishing...how's the bait holding up?"
Enjoy,

Lol.

I'm a Yankee fan, but I gotta admit it wouldn't be the end of the world if Red Sox won Game 7. It would be nice to see.

Come to think of it, Red Sox winning? I guess that would be the end of the world.

Now that's funny.

As a Sox fan - it would be nice to go to The Series, but the cruelly abused sox fan side of me says the whole thing is a setup for another disappointment. I hope I'm wrong (but I've been here before!!!!)

That being said, it has been a fun series to watch - the best team will get their shot at the World Series - I only hope we haven't destroyed each other to get there, leaving a walkover matchup for the opponent.

lumpydog, I have many RedSox friends and they are thinking the EXACT same thing.

Red Sox are doing this just to pull their fans in JUST ENOUGH to get them to be hopeful, and then POW! another heart break.

It's almost toooooooo cruel.

Will "The Curse of the Bambino" live on?

So let me get this straight.

1) Derek Lowe is pitching well (through 4 innings of solid pitching)
2) The Sox offense is on fire
3) The sox have never won a game 7 on the road
4) No baseball team has ever come back from 3 games down in a championship series.

Put you head between you legs and kiss your a$$ goodbye - the world is going to end, hell is freezing over and pigs will likely be flying past your windows soon. I don't beleive what I'm seeing. Surely the I'll be back later to ask how the sox could have blown a 7 run lead.

Bottom of 7th Inning: That's more like it, take out a pitcher who has allowed one run, thrown under 65 pitches and K'ed the last batter he faced....... and put in Pedro Martinez.

What a great idea - the crowd is out of the game - let's bring them back into the game and get them chanting "Who's your daddy" - get them back in the game - motivate the Yankees.

Not to mention the fact that Pedro has been NOTHING but shelled by the Yankees.

Oh yeah - let's make sure that if we make it to the World Series we use up another one of our potential starters.

Theo - Note to self, fire Terri Francona. I mean - holey cr@p. How stupid can you be - WOW.

Even if the Sox hold onto their lead, you've gotta wonder WTF Terri is thinking.

Can you tell I'm a neurotic sox fan? :)

Lol. Congrats to the Red Sox. Long over-due.

I could feel the Red Sox fans freaking out when Pedro came in. So funny.

But even the curse couldn't overcome the Yankee pitching, which plain flat out SUCKS.

It's like we're back to the 80's, where the Yankees keep getting overpaid players in the twilight of their career. Getting Brown over keeping Pettite and Clemens? Sheesh.

If Houston makes it, it would quite interesting to see Clemens vs. Red Sox.

Incredible comeback! Yes, we'll have to wait a couple of weeks to see if The Curse continues.
