I was so bummed when Iraq lost against Paraguay yesterday. What a story, gives me goose bumps thinking about how well they have done to inspire Iraq and the whole world.

Gymnastics seemed to have lost its flair, is it me or was it much better and memorable back in the days of Mary Lou Retten.

Carly Patterson and Paul Hamm don't impress me as much, even though they won the all around gold medal.

And can anyone tell me why US Basketball team has no outside shooters?

All I have to say is Misty May and Kerri Walsh are some damn good volleyball players! They spanked those Brazilians in the gold medal match!!

That, and Micheal Phelps is officially a stud. 6 golds and 2 bronzes??? yep, he's good!!

Since the US went to the Pro "Dream Team" concept, can anyone tell me why anyone CARES about the US basketball team?

The rest of the world sure does. Everytime they get beat the crowd goes bonkers.

The US Basketball team actually looked decent this morning vs. Spain. The funniest part was at the end when the Spain coach didn't shake Larry Brown's hand and then pointed his finger at Larry. haha..

I guess I'm "old school" when it comes to the Olympics...amateur atheletes, etc.

they just needed a good humbling, which they got!

Cael Sanderson got the gold in the freestyle wrestling, so I was pretty happy about that.
