Actually, its called "temporary image persistence". Good read. Article is HERE (http://www.dslwebserver.com/main/fr_index.html?/main/lcd-screen-burn.html)...To avoid it, use a screensaver, change your wallpaper frequently, or use powersave.

I never knew LCDs had burn in problems. I got used to NOT using a screensaver with my old CRT--just powered the monitor off after an hour. But after reading that article, I am setting one up right now! Thanks for the good info, CAG.

I didn't know it either. What really got my attention was the fact that the writer got it on his 2001FP :eek:

I use a screensaver anyway, but I admit is the first I heard of burn-in on LCDs.
