haha, you got in at a good time. The treo line totally rocks. It's the swiss army knife of gadgets.
Let's see on a typical day I do the following:
-take calls, check my call history
-use the speakerphone to speak like star trek communicators
-instant message using verichat - aol or yhoo
-listen to mp3s using pocket tunes
-play dozens of games
-take notes
-read ms word files, excel
-take pictures
-use PIM functions
-email, surf the web
-look at photos
the list goes on and on and on

I started even later...
I'm 46 and got my first PDA (HP iPAQ H2200) for Christmas this year. I didn't even ask for one. My wife just decided to buy it for me because I always carried around a pen and paper in my shirt pocket to take notes.
Since I've always loved home PC's, my wife decided I'd probably really like a PDA. The jury's still out on that - I still kind of miss my pen and paper.

I don't own PDA...I make it a point not to buy too many things that my kids can either lose or step on.

tell us how your pocket pc experience is, I've always stuck with Palm OS, but I wonder how the grass is on the other side.
