Is anyone running an ASUS K8V SE motherboard?

If so, what memory are you using? I waiting on some Crucial Ballistix sticks and wondering if I made the right decision. Any input is welcome.

I never had any problem with Crucials, I bought them for my last 3 custom built PCs.

I don't have your specific motherboard, but my ASUS runs Crucial memory with no problems.

Thanks for the reply. I ordered the memory Tuesday and received an email saying that my order was on hold due to insufficient quantity available and they expected to ship it in 7- 10 business days. I called on Wednesday and asked if this was a realistic ship date. I was willing to wait that long, but I did not want to get another email saying that it would be an additional x number of days. The service rep said no guarantees, but that they usually had realistic ship dates. I informed him that I would wait, but if it had not shipped by the 10th day, I would cancel my order.

Imagine my surprise when later that day, I received an email stating that my 2 sticks had shipped. They are currently in my hands. Coincidence????

Now where is that 3400+ chip that I ordered?????

Haha.. that is funny. Where did you order the AMD chip?

I always use NewEgg.com for my h/w purchases. They rock! Even when I had a problem with a new hard-drives, great service.

Now why did you have to go and ask that question? I'm either going to be really happy or really irritated. I bought it off eBay from a store there. It was a buy it now for $299and I could not pass on it. It's a retail box and I have a guaranteed no DOA. The store has over 7200 feedbacks with a 99.5% positive score. So I decided to give it a whirl (might have been the beer). I swore I would never buy a CPU off eBay and broke my promise. The thing is in a UPS warehouse 12 miles from my house and I won't see it till Monday afternoon. Guess I know what I will be doing Monday night. Fingers crossed that I did not make a really stupid decision. I let you know one way or the other.
