Amiga 500 is on top of the heap for me. When I finally upgraded to "evil" PC-dom it was a sad day.
Another sad day was when I uninstalled Netscape and switched to Internet Exlporer as my primary browser. Microsoft is "evil"
!!!

I never got tired of just enjoying how well designed my Apple G4 Titanium Powerbook was. I'm not nearly as attached to the iBook I gave it up for.
My Treo 600 feels good in my hand (I was similarly attached to my Treo 300, but by the time I traded it in I was sick of it).
My iPod (tho' the fascination has mostly worn off)
Those old clicky mechanical IBM PC XT keyboards; I loved those things.
cheers,

That is hilarious, I have 2 IBM clickety clack keyboards myself. I bought them at some clearance outlet off a usenet newsgroup back when I was in school. They have given me many years of good use and still work perfectly.
I love the feedback they give, the only downside is how loud they are.

I've got a discontinued model logitech 4 button mouse I love. I've also got an old no-name floppy drive that has traveled from computer to computer through several years.

Ooooh yes, when the office I worked at upgraded our ANCIENT systems, they were throwing them away. When they came through my cube I asked if I could bring mine home. He looked at me funny but let me have it. Oddly enough, in addition to the clicky sound, I also love that it has a little lip on the top to hold a pen. On my regular keyboard I usually have a pen balanced on top of the function keys which I am always knocking off.

Hehe, it will be a very sad day indeed when my IBM keyboards die. Right now going on over 10 years of use.
I'm sorry but there's not one techie gadget or computer that I've ever been attached to. Got my first machine in 1996...133MHz P1 with a 2Gb disk...Since then (thru Win95, Win98, WinME, and now WinXP) they've become throw-aways as the technology makes computing faster and cheaper. Now cars...that's a different story...maybe we'll leave that to a future time and a yet-to-be-titled board.

PCs tend to be less of an emotional attachment. I never been very attached to my PC, except maybe my old IBM butterfly laptop sub-notebook.
Apples, Amigas, Ataris, and PDAs tend to tug at the heart strings more for some reason.
Maybe because they are more creative and more a sense of design vs. the BORG-ness of PCs.
I like the BORG-ness of PC's. Maybe that's it...I'm emotionally attached to the throw-it-away-for-something-newer-and-better-ness of computers, peripherals, accessories, cell phones, etc. ...all of the attributes, I might add, of being a true capitalist.
