I was wondering if anyone had a problem with screen tearing using the 2001FP? I notice it very badly, even with vsync enabled while First Person Shooters. Could the problem be that only 60 Hertz can be used while the res is set at 1600x1200? Or could it be something to do with OpenGL? Any advise would be very helpful, thanks.

Screen Tearing happens when the number of fps exceeds the monitors ability to refresh (number of Hertz). The result is lines that look like a glitch each time the screen refreshes because the monitor cannot display a high fps that the computer is asking it to. There is a setting for OpenGL that is called Vsync, but with that enabled, the computer is being restricted to match the refresh rate of the monitor. I was wondering if anybody else has seen this, and if so, is there another solution other than enabiling Vsync? Thanks for the help.
Thanks for the explanation. I've never experience it...not sure about my Vsync settings...I'll check it when I get home tonight.
