1801fp vs 2001fp Screen Door Effects

Hi

I was wondering how the screen door effect on the DELL 2001fp compares to the screen door effect on the DELL 1801fp?

If you have seen both monitors, please compare them, indicating if they are similar or are very different when it comes to the lines that give the screen door effect.

Is it the screen coating on one, and the large dead black space on another?



Is the 1801fp text legible with Cleartype OFF? How does it compare to the 2001fp in terms of text quality, and ability to read everything while surfing?

Does enabling ClearType BGR on the 1801fp help text readability l a lot?

Lol, prolly too late, but I do have 1800fp - not the 1801fp iteration but close. I also got 2001fp a couple of days ago. On my 1800fp, I NEVER seen any SDE, but it is present on 2001fp, although it's rare. I truly believe SDE is very subjective, and a lot depends on ur vision and angle at which u r looking at the screen. I am also pretty sure that 1801fp won't have any trace of SDE but it is a 25ms LCD, so u might have to deal with some amount of ghosting. On my part, I don't see any ghosting on either 1800fp or 2001fp but that's just my personal perception.
