A Good Place to Live?

I lived in the northeast most of my life traveling up and down the coast. I'm getting a little sick of the cold harsh winters and the snow. Here are some requests:

-low crime

-must have broadband

-must be near a Best Buy

-prefer low state taxes

-reasonable cost of living (no San Fran or NYC housing prices)

I was wondering if there are any other places (cities/states) that are a great place to live and why?

I live in San Diego right now, and I love it.....except for the incredibly high cost of living. The average cost of a 3-4 bedroom house here is $300-400k.....my rent for a 1 BR apartment is $1030 a month....other than that, you can't really argue with the weather here....nice all year long!!!
