EA to Offer Videogame Downloading and Valve Finds Xbox 360 a Pain

In the latest Computer Gaming World magazine, there are some tidbits on Valve. Supposedly the Gabe Newell, the head of Valve, finds the Xbox 360 a pain because they can't rely on everyone having a hard-drive due to the 2 SKU launch. Also it reveals that EA is working on a Steam clone to offer downloading games as a future option to customers. That can't be good for videogame retailers.

The biggest bit in there however is that EA intends to follow in Valve’s footsteps with the Steam content delivery system. Valve head honcho also said that Windows Vista will not make videogame development any easier and said that the Xbox 360 is a pain because developers 'can't rely on a hard drive'.
