Building a Computer Picture Frame

This a great old hack of someone who converted a $100 Apple Powerbook Duo 270c/280c on eBay to a digital picture frame that puts the $300 commercial ones to shame.

There are only three such frames on the market, and each is seriously flawed. Consider the Poloroid/Ceiva frame. This relatively attractive digital frame is selling for around $100. Sounds like a steal, but the frame provides no mechanism for moving your images onto the frame without a subcription to the proprietary Ceiva network. Ultimately, you'd end up paying a pretty penny for a frame that also suffers from a serious technical flaw, it has a passive matrix display
