Verizon Wireless Churn Rates Low

Verizon is bragging about having the lowest churn rate in 2004 and Q1 2005 at 1.33% and 1.5% respectively. The company says it added 6.3 million customers last year, tops in the industry. However it fails to mention their land-line business is dying on a vine due to the advent of VOIP companies like Vonage.

The company has regularly invested more than $4 billion nationally each year since its inception -- and more than $5 billion last year alone -- to expand and upgrade its nationwide wireless network.
