eBay Goes Down Due to Power Outage
Usually when companies raise fees and promise better reliability and service, it's bad form to go down due to a power outage. That is exactly what happened yesterday at 9pm. Note to eBay, use the millions more you're making to buy a better backup electricity system.About an hour later, the auction giant updated the message to read, "eBay experienced a power outage at a principal hosting facility in the (San Francisco) Bay Area. Some eBay functions and listings are now available, and we are working to fully restore the rest of the site."
