Sony PSP Films on AtomFilms

Sony has sponsored some short films on AtomFilms.com to spur buying interest in the Sony PSP as a portable video playback device. The first movies in the program weigh in at 31 to 58 megabytes, so you need to buy a bigger memory stick. Of course you can buy that from Sony for a hefty proprietary price.

Sony approached AtomShockwave to sponsor a series of downloadable films, hoping they "would drive people to buy the PSP,'' said AtomShockwave Chief Executive Officer Mika Salmi. "AtomFilms gets about 6 million people per month, and they are a tech-savvy audience.''
