Electronic Arts Chief Game Player

Bing Gordon has a pretty cool job as Chief Creative Officer. He gets to play videogames everyday till 2AM and whine to developers on what they need to do to improve them. Too bad in the past 12 months, he had to play EA's stinkers too. Ahh, to be at the right time and the right place to get a job like that at the genesis of the videogame industry.

As chief creative officer of video game publisher Electronic Arts, Gordon has a unique job in the corporate world. He has to make sure the games produced by the Redwood City company's creative staff are innovative and popular enough to keep its million-unit hit machine running smoothly... Because EA has more than 3,800 game developers, there are too many people for Gordon to talk with on a regular basis. Still, the chances are good of getting ``Binged,'' which EA executive Frank Gibeau describes as being put on the spot to explain their work to Gordon.
