European Court Tells Microsoft to Unbundle Media Player

A European court told Microsoft to offer a version of its Windows operating system without the bundled media player. Microsoft has two month to appeal this decision or comply. Just in case, the company is working on a special version of Windows without the media player for the European market. It could be available as early as February at the same price as current versions of Windows. The whole exercise is laughable as consumers will not buy an operating system at the same price with less software and features.
