CEO of eBay Company in India Arrested

The CEO of an eBay subsidiary in India was arrested because someone tried to sell child porn on the firm's site. Baazee.com took down the posting as soon as it was discovered. However it didn't matter to Indian officials because when the CEO voluntarily traveled to India to cooperate with police officials, he was arrested. eBay and the U.S. Embassy is following the case closely and obviously are very upset.

Bajaj's arrest has "many ramifications," especially at a time when Internet usage in the country is rapidly growing and foreign investors are increasingly looking to India for e-commerce opportunities, said Amit Mitra, the chief executive at the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry.
