Time Warner Cable Road Runner Speed Increase

Time Warner Cable Road Runner cable internet customers will see an increase of their download speeds of up to 67% next month. Basic subscribers that pay $45 will see an increase of 3 to 5 mbps. Premium subscribers that pay $85 will see an increase of 6 to 8 mpbs.

Cable companies are deciding to offer better service to fight off the price competition of DSL, which can cost as low as $26 a month vs. cable's $45 a month.
