Key Ruling on VOIP, Less Regulation, Less Taxes

The FCC made the right decision by voting 5-0 on a petition by VOIP provider Vonage, which wanted the company's product to be declared interstate giving the federal government regulatory control. Ever wonder why your phone bills are so high? It's because every local and state government politician wants a piece of the pie to pay for their pork barrel projects, so that can get re-elected. This ruling hopefully closes the door on local governments from taxing VOIP phone calls. However I'm sure politicians will do their best to fight back. Read
