Nokia Plans 40 Handsets for 2005

Nokia plans on launching 40 new handsets next year to catch up to its rivals Samsung and Motorola. The market leader has been beaten to a pulp this year for not having fashionable clam-shell type phones. The public decided that Nokia's brick form-factor was a thing of the past. The amazing thing is the market growth projections. Nokia expects 630 MILLION phones to be sold this year and 10% growth on that in 2005. Looks like a LOT of people are annually refreshing their phones as a fashion item. I want to refresh my Treo 600 for a Treo 650 myself. Hmmmm. Read [Via Engadget]
