More Details on DS from Press Conference

Nintendo DS will come with a playable demo called Metroid Prime Hunters: First Hunt. The game will include a few levels and will be wirelessly enabled for up to 4 head-to-head action. Moreover the demo is different from the one shown at E3 with a different control scheme. Pictochat will be embedded in the DS hardware, which lets DS users wirelessly text message and share drawings with each other. The system marketing budget will be the biggest ever for Nintendo at $40M in the first six months. It will consist of TV, print ads, move trailers, and 12,000 retail kiosks. There will only be one color in the beginning - black/silver with more colors probably coming later in the future. No pricing set for software. Touchscreen, dual screens, wireless, and voice recognition are the main features Nintendo is trumping. The company expects all 120 games (20 in-house) in development will take advantage of some or all of these features. Battery life will be 6-10 hours.
