First NV40 Reviews
The first review of Nvidia's next-generation graphics hardware is out on Tom's Hardware. Looks like Nvidia finally has a great product on its hands, although still with slightly inferior image quality. The performance in new games like Far Cry looks very impressive. ATI will ship their new cards later this month. Before you run out and think about buying the new GeForce read this:
The first barrier on your way to graphics ecstasy is the power requirement calling for a PSU with at least 480Watts. In effect, its not so much the power rating that may prove problematic - it may turn out harder to find a power supply with enough ATX power cables for use with the graphics card!
I don't know anyone that has a 480 watt power supply, I doubt you do either. My 300 watt one now seems puny.
