FirstAdopter.com Market Sentiment Poll Results (Week Ending 5/29/09)
I posted this question to my followers last Friday: “Are you bullish or bearish on the stock market next week (ending 5/29/09)?”
After 250 votes the past 3 days, the results are in at 37% bullish and 63% bearish. I will do these polls on the weekly basis every Friday and publish the results on Sunday evening. Be sure to follow me on Twitter to participate and get the results.
It will be interesting to see if the polling results are accurate or if they are a contrarian indicator. Even though I voted “bearish”, I’m actually a bit surprised that after this huge rally the last few months where every dip has been bought over and over again that people are still bearish. I was following the poll all weekend and it was uncanny how the bull/bear percentages staying in the same range within 1-2%. That tells me from 20 votes to 250 votes, the results are a pretty accurate sample of what the general investing public is feeling right now.
It will be interesting to see if the polling results are accurate or if they are a contrarian indicator.
